The Founder

mauroMauro Tosi founded MT Communications after years in the technology and telecommunications business around the globe. Setting up the first broadband network design center in the UK in the early nineties, he then moved to the US to start-up Sirti Limited Corp, a telecommunications engineering company designing, building and managing CATV and CLEC networks, headend and central offices, as well as deploying one of the first VDSL trials. Back in Europe at the end of 1999 he joined Priority Telecom, the telecom arm of the Liberty Global group, eventually listed on the Amsterdam exchange, then Mundi Telecom in Spain and the Techint group in Italy. In the early 2000s he was selected to carry out the turn-around of e-via, a fledgling Italian infrastructure based telecom company based in Milan. Among other ventures, he founded Idealabs, an engineering and system integration company to install and activate the largest Automated Main Distribution Frame in the world at one of Telecom Italia's central offices in Turin. In 2010 he invested into ERC Highlight, a renowed company in the lighting business and became the company CEO. Between 2012 - 2014, Mauro was a board member and Executive Committee Chairman of Retelit s.p.a., a fiber optic carrier listed on the Milan stock exchange, and also became the Chairman of the Board of Retelit USA LLC. In 2015 he launched Ledcom International, a lighting/telecommunications company with the ambition, through its CellLED project, to turn the street lighting infrastructure into a post 5G/6G broadband mobile wholesale network.
